Σύντομη περιγραφήWithin the context of the FRONTIER project various traffic management schemes/controllers for Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) were developed and tested at a microscopic level resolution using the AIMSUN microscopic simulator with an extension that includes a new User Interface (UI) for the configuration of the local and network level traffic control strategies. For the different penetration rates of connected automated vehicles (CAVs) examined in the Athens test-bed, investigations demonstrate the effectiveness of each traffic control strategy. In addition, a related algorithm for traffic state estimation was applied in two real test-beds (one in Athens, Greece and one in Antwerp, Belgium) utilizing real data from the field. Results indicate that the proposed traffic state estimation scheme successfully estimates and dynamically tracks the traffic state in both time and space under various traffic flow conditions.
