Iraklis Mandalianos

Hello there! My name is Iraklis Mandalianos, I am an active listener and team player, known for my collaborative approach and problem-solving abilities. My background includes a BSc in Finance and an MSc in Production Engineering and Management. My experience as an IT Project Manager/ Support Manager and IT Product Owner during the last 17 years extends to the private and public sectors.

 

During the last few years, I have been committed to enhancing my skill set through consistent participation in a variety of IT and Project Management courses. This proactive approach has further equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of multiple subjects and disciplines. In parallel with my professional development, I have been learning German, managed to achieve a B1 proficiency level, and am currently studying for B2.

 

I find great fulfillment in participating in the development, implementation, and support of cutting-edge products while collaborating with talented individuals in a strong team.

WORKING EXPERIENCE

  • Led analysis, development, implementation, and support of various software projects serving hundreds of users, implementing Waterfall and Agile. Including but not limited to:
  • Managed the development and support of more than two hundred websites/portals/news portals (PHP, JavaScript, CSS, HTML) and 20+ e-commerce websites (e-shops, b2b) with significant sales.
  • Analyzed and managed customer expectations to ensure satisfaction and supervised day-to-day front-end operations.
  • Provided advanced technical support and instructions.
  • Performed data de-duplication and harmonization across various databases.
  • Implemented on-page search engine optimization (SEO) in combination with Google Search Console tools.
  • Created custom PHP, MySQL scripts.
  • Administrator of dedicated and cloud Linux Web Servers, including setup and troubleshooting (Hetzner, CentOS, Alma Linux, WHM/cPanel, DirectAdmin, MariaDB, MySQL).

  • ERP Administrator (including administering user rights and roles in the local and web interfaces).
  • Co-operate with ERP vendor (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) to introduce further improvements and fixes.
  • Collaborate with and guide other Greek University Special Accounts in the adoption and implementation of digital services.
  • Led the project of the full implementation (Frontend and Backend) for the ERP, including the test strategy.
  • Leading the digital transformation of the Special Account of Research Funds.
  • Oversaw IT Systems Implementation.
  • Microsoft 365 user.
  • Performed data cleansing and harmonization across various system reports.
  • Scheduled equipment, network, and software upgrades.
  • Coordinated with hardware and software vendors for installation, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Provided support and instructions to 30 internal and 500 external users (employees, researchers, assistants and professors).
  • Supervised and coached the informatics and payroll team.
  • Product owner of the new IT inventory application developed in Python/Django.
